We’ve got something very special coming for you next week. On Monday 27th, the ever-stellar Brooklyn Brewery take over the Black Heart! The gig upstairs is free and first come, first served (more about that below), but we’ll have plenty of goodies on downstairs so no one will miss out! Here’s what we’ll have on offer.

In the venue upstairs, only Brooklyn cans will be available. We'll have Brooklyn Lager, the Brewery's award-winning flagship beer, brewed to a pre-Prohibition recipe. Dry-hopped, fresh, flowery, flavourful, 5.2%. Always a winner. We'll also be carrying Brooklyn's American Ale, a heavier, more malty and blended, dry-hopped ale, at 4.5%. And we'll have Brooklyn's East IPA, originally a summer seasonal but a year-round offering for over two decades now, it features English malts and hops brewed in the classic, heavily-hopped style of 19th century English beers. 6.9%. I say.

Downstairs at the bar, we'll have a very special 2 kegs of Brooklyn Bel Air Sour Ale and East IPA on tap. Bel Air is a breezy, tart, dry-hopped sour ale. Easy to drink and not overly sour. 5.8% We'll also have Sorachi Ace and Brooklyn Tripel Burner 750ml sharing bottles. The Sorachi Ace is a classic saison, a dry, hoppy, golden farmhouse ale featuring the rare Sorachi Ace hop. 100% bottle re-fermentation with Champagne yeast sees the beer emerge with bright, spicy lemon-zest aromas. 7.6%. The Brooklyn Tripel Burner is a licorice-spiced tripel aged in white wine barrels. With a strong Belgian-inspired tripel base, this is a heady, aromatic ale. 10.6%. And finally, we'll also have 330ml bottles of Brooklyn's Black Chocolate Stout, the brewery's award-winning rendition of the Imperial Stout style. Derived from three mashes brewed for each batch of this beer, the Stout boasts deep dark chocolate flavour blended with specialty roasted malts. 10%.

As for the evening's entertainment, Winnebago Deal, Primitive Weapons, and Henry Blacker are set to devastate the Heart as they kick off Brooklyn Sound, the second edition of Brooklyn's annual music tour. Doors are at 7pm and are free entry. While this show is first come, first served, priority is given to those who snapped up the free tickets from our site. After 8.30pm, all unclaimed tickets (the reserved tickets that people haven't shown up to claim) will be released back in to the wild and non-ticket holders will be allowed in.

We can't wait to see all of you there. And as always, keep your eyes peeled for updates on this, and more beers and bands, on our Instagram.
