BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE TAKE OVER EVENT

We’re stoked to have announced an all day @bfmvofficial take over event here at @ourblackheart next Tuesday! (Note updated times)

There will be a pop up shop with exclusive merch for sale, records to pre-order, tarot readings, a band signing and a full BFMV art exhibition showing the inside workings of BFMV.

Plus a few lucky fans will get the chance to join in the evening for an exclusive preview to the new self titled album, which is out on 5th Nov.

20 golden tickets will be hidden inside the bands merch orders, so purchase something on the day for a chance to win entry for you and a friend!

PLEASE NOTE that anyone attending the event will need to show upon entry either a covid passport (proof of double vax), or show a negative lateral flow test taken before attending that has then been registered on the gov website or NHS app.

Lateral Flow Tests are super easy to do are are availbale from any pharmacy if you don't have stacks of boxes of them at home already (although we suspoect that most of you do!)

We’re here! The music is loud, the beer is flowing and its thanks to all our festival ticket holders and of course everyone who donated to our Crowdfunder. You saved us and now we’re ready to RESTART THE HEART.

As you have likely already seen on social media, we have confirmed Restart the Heart for the weekend of Friday 22nd / Saturday 23rd / Sunday 24th OCTOBER 2021.

A few updates to share with you….

Beer Sponsors

Black Heart residents Hackney Brewery are sponsoring our venue and will be stocking our fridges with a combo of all their delicious beers including the beloved Boogied Van and Millions of Peaches. And as usual we’ll have Boogie Van on draught in the main bar.

Guest DJ’s….
On Friday 22nd the mighty GREEN LUNG will be our guest DJ’s in the main bar from 10pm as they celebrate the release of their massively anticipated new album “Black Harvest” which will be unleashed upon the world on that day! Prior to this from 6pm to 10pm former editor of Metal Hammer and current President of the Iron Maiden fanclub Alex Milas will be DJing 6pm to 10pm.

Saturday 23rd Family Woodard are running the decks from 6pm to 10pm followed by the Born Again - Heavy Metal Soundhouse gang from 10pm to close.
Witchsorrow who are sadly unable to play will be DJing the venue between bands.

Sunday 24th Sam Loynes from Voices/Akercocke will DJ from 7pm to midnight.

** Sadly Undersmile are no longer able to make the show either, but they’ve been replaced by the ever awesome FIVE THE HIEROPHANT

**** Sadly Wren have also have to pull out due to injury, but they have been replaced by the excellent metal trio URNE

Pre-start The Heart – opening party
As an extra bonus for those in Camden a day early, we’re bringing you “Pre-start The Heart” which will be a charity event on the Thursday (21st Oct) ft bands of our bar staff, including HUMAN HELL, BLACK ORCHIDS, WHO CARES?, LONGHEADS and more TBC.

There are no physical tickets but your name will be on our door list. If you find that you can’t make it, please pass on your ticket to a pal or sell it on if you need the funds (face value only please, no touting behaviour!). The event is completely sold out.

This week we have 4 full cap shows going down and we can’t wait to see you.

To keep ourselves and YOU safe, the staff have been doing daily LFT tests and we *strongly encourage* you do the same before coming to a show. That way you’re keeping yourself, our staff, the bands and your fellow punters safe AND you have time to flog your ticket if it all goes tits up and you test posi.

JO QUAIL LOOPING CLINIC

Time for something a little different to get your teeth in to!! The Black Heart is proud to present an afternoon "looping clinic" with the sorceress of looped sound Jo Quail on Saturday 17th July.

This clinic is a basic introduction to composing with a loop station. Topics of discussion will include some of the primary techniques Jo uses, demonstrated by her in the context of her pieces, with plenty of time for conversation and questions. Whether you’re a musician or simply intrigued by the process this will be a fun and informative afternoon!

WELCOME BACK - TABLE BOOKING INFO FOR THE BAR

Hello friends! Wow it's been a while, right? The wait is almost over though, we are very happy to announce our doors will reopen on May 17th.

A few things to note....

We are no longer taking bookings via email. Instead, we have a fancy new online system where you can book, change and cancel your booking all on your own!

To ensure we can welcome back as many of you as possible, there is a 3 hour time limit on each table.

Max booking is 6 peeps.

If you're coming to a show and fancy a bev before or after, please book a table. A gig ticket does not guarantee a table in the bar.

Please ensure you have the NHS Covid-19 app as you'll need to check in upon arrival. The QR code does not work on your camera, you must have the app. EVERYONE at your table must check in, not just the reservation holder.

For those living the phone-free dream, we will have a sign-in sheet available.

Masks at all times when not seated please.

DESERTFEST 2022 ! Lineup, Day Splits and Tix !

The mighty, one and only, DESERTFEST LONDON, is set to roll back into the fold in 2022 with a colossal lineup !!

Held across multiple venues here in Camden Town, the heart of London’s heavy music scene, including The Black Heart as the central hub, as well as stages at Roundhouse, Electric Ballroom, The Underworld, PowerHaus (ex-Dingwalls) and The Devonshire Arms - the festival is back in 2022 and making up for lost time over 2 cancelled editions due to Covid -19.
