Following the release of their emotionally wrought debut single, 'The Longest Journey Yet' in mid-2019, Sheffield Post Black-Metal / Screamo group Hidden Mothers have wasted no time establishing themselves on the UK scene. In September 2020 the band released their debut self-titled EP, which was incredibly well received and drew comparisons to bands like Amenra, Thrice, Converge, Oathbreaker. Perhaps Hidden Mothers' biggest achievement to date was their performance at ArcTanGent Festival 2023, where they packed out their tent at 11am and played a set that was described as "exhilarating and visceral" by Kerrang! and "one of the most rousing receptions of the weekend" by Knotfest. At the time of writing this, Hidden Mothers are putting the finishing touches on their debut album.

Post Black Metal outfit Copse wasted no time in exploding onto the scene in 2022. Drawing comparisons with Deafheaven , Harakiri for the Sky and Svalbard, Copse has played alongside UK Black Metal stalwarts Dawn Ray’d and Calligram, and the collective also left Kerrang wanting more at ArcTanGent 2023, delivering “ a blistering set…with devastating effect”.
