WAYS AWAY - Featuring Members of Stick to Your Guns, Samiam, BoySetsFire

So you all know how it can be with “members of” bands; four date tours and the occasional lacklustre EP to break up the shifts at the barbers/tattoo shop/microbrewery. But every so often a real gem comes along to break that shit up (Narrows anyone?) and fuck yes, Ways Away is one of those.

In early 2019 vocalist Jesse Barnett (Stick to Your Guns) partnered with Sergie Lookoff (Samiam / Knapsack/Racquet Club), Ian Smith (Racquet Club) and drummer Jared Shavelson (BoySetsFire/ Mariachi El Bronx/Paint it Black) aiming to pen the perfect melodic post-hardcore song. This evolved into their outstanding self-titled, Beau Burchell (Saosin) produced debut album, released in July 2020 on Other People Records.

Following a run of singles, including a split 7” with Iron Chic, Ways Away released their most reason album, Torch Songs - once again produced by Burchell - in October 2022. This’ll be their first time in London, and it’s gonna be sick - make sure you don’t miss out.
