TAKE BREATH are a melodic hardcore 4-piece, established in late 2019. With songs dubbed by Metal Hammer as "soulful, gut-twisting serenades", the band have a poignancy to their writing that connects with audiences across the spectrums of metal and alternative music. Following 2022 releases 'Bliss' and 'Oblivion', latest single 'Ode' is the epic conclusion to the band's year: a huge cinematic emotional blowout, leading listeners from an ambient, pop-based introduction through to an enormous, heart-wrenching conclusion.
The band enjoyed a year of massive growth in 2022 with a 300% increase in listeners and followers across Spotify and Instagram, and are set to take to the road for the first time in 2023, kicking off the year with a co-headline run with The Throwaway Scene in March with further dates in the pipeline, as they look to establish themselves as a staple name in the UK’s booming post-hardcore scene.
DXWNSIDES are a Melodic Hardcore outfit hailing from Birmingham, UK. Described as "sadness soaked", the band's sound incorporates elements of Shoegaze, Pop Punk and Melodic Hardcore that utilises shimmering guitars, driving rhythms, heartfelt lyrical themes and softly sung vocals paired with aggressive unclean vocals drenched in dreamy reverbs. In combination with their signature sound, they also have a strong cinematic visual aesthetic to provide a more immersive and thematic experience for their listeners.
On the 15th of January 2021, the group released their sophomore full-length effort “I Will Never Be Enough”. The record explores the themes of love, loss, anger, solitude, and addiction; and creates a flowing and seamless journey that evokes these feelings throughout a variety of styles and audible aesthetics. The album embraces these raw emotions and channels them into a unique blend of energy and melodic melancholy. “I Will Never Be Enough” has received over 95k streams on Spotify, and a combined 85k views on YouTube, with the support of independent music champions Dreambound.
