HIWATT and DROP PROJECT are celebrating the launch of their collaboration beer RIDER by bringing three of Hiwatt's most exciting bands to the intimate stage of the legendary Black Heart.
BAD NERVES are a 5-piece Powerpop-RocknRoll band from East London. The bastard child of a Ramones/Strokes one night stand, they play ferociously fast distorted pop songs, with melodies that hook so deep, even the most skilled lobotomist would struggle to scrape them out. The band drew acclaim with their previous releases ‘Dreaming’, ‘Radio Punk’, & ‘Can’t Be Mine’ (released through UK label National Anthem), catching the attention of a host of BBC Radio 1 DJ’s including Dan P Carter, Clara Amfo, Huw Stephens, Phil Taggart and Annie Mac - who made ‘Can’t Be Mine’ one of her coveted ‘New Names’ picks. Dubbed the ‘200 miles-an-hour Supergrass’ by Gary Crowley at BBC Radio London, Bad Nerves are looking to set a new standard for adrenaline-fuelled pop-rock music. Wrapping up the end of 2019 with some notable performances at Reading, Leeds and Lowlands festivals Bad Nerves are kicking off 2020 with a showcase at Eurosonic. With their new album set for release 2nd quarter 2020 and a string of dates lined up across the UK and Europe, 2020 is set to be an exciting year for the quintet.
After a whirlwind 2019, Brighton based GENDER ROLES return in October 2021 with their ‘Rock Refresher’ UK & EU tours. 2019 saw the band release their debut album PRANG through Big Scary Monsters Recordings, chaotic sell-out headline shows across the UK & Europe followed and the year ended triumphantly with a live Maida Vale Session for Annie Mac on BBC Radio 1. Since then, the band have been working tirelessly in the studio on the follow-up album to PRANG. With album 2 safely in the bag, the band look forward to both debuting new material live in 2021 - as well as playing those fan-favourites once again! In January 2021 Gender Roles released standalone AA singles Dead or Alive / So Useless to much acclaim, already selling out on vinyl and receiving national airplay and playlisting
Since their debut release “Fast and Loud” on Yala Records, TALK SHOW have gone from strength-to-strength, capturing the imagination of new and existing fans alike with their unique pairing of raw, punk-inspired delivery, with melodic elements that hark to influences including The Cure. Offering up an exhilarating live show that pairs the stomping, brooding focus of Harrison Swann, with the wild, escapist energy of drummer Chloe MacGregor, bassist George Sullivan and guitarist Tom Holmes, Talk Show have well and truly set themselves aside as a band that mean business.
