Sleight of Hand Music is happy to host 1968 and Oak as they prepare to embark on a run of gigs in Europe together, with support from Lowen!
1968 Cheshire-based riff monsters 1968 have been smashing out tunes together since 2013. As the name suggests, they pull influences from the death of the summer of love and the realization that everything wasn't quite as 'peaceful' as it could have been.
Drawing influences from Sabbath, Blue Cheer and riff makers such as Mountain, 1968 are pushing the older sound into modern ears and using volume to ensure that listeners or spectators are left with their ears ringing for days.
Oak Gnarly, big riffing high energy heavy rock. They take retro blues rock, make it filthy and down tuned and get an actual mad man to sing over it.
With three EPs to their name and slots on all dayers up and down the country under their belt, this will be their last local gig before they play the main stage at HRH Doom vs Stoner later in the month.
