THE SCARLETINAS

THE SCARLETINAS

The Scarletinas were spotted as they exploded on to the scene for their live debut at The Black Heart back in April, unleashing a sonic onslaught of soaring hooks, fist to the face guitars and unstoppable energy, so Welcome To The Monkey House are delighted to have them back headlining for our October bash.

Scarletinas are Marc Hayward (vocals/guitar), Graig Birrell (bass guitar), Dan Williams (guitar/vocals) and Jim Portas (d, rums) who have in past lives been members of The Dash, The Valkrays and KAV. Not scared to venture to the 'other side' The Scarletinas are currently making their TV debut as part of Magners new ad campaign (note: they thoroughly endorse the product) and through October will be supporting The Rifles on their UK tour before returning to London for this headlining show.

DUKE OF WOLVES

Arriving in 2016 from the ashes of Crystal Seagulls, Duke Of Wolves are a London based, 4 piece rock band that reflect influences such as Led Zeppelin, Nirvana, Rage Against The Machine, Wolf Mother and the band wouldn't forgive us if we didn't throw The Beatles in there, so all good in our book.  They combine hard-hitting riffs, huge choruses, thoughtful lyrics and melodies that’ll follow you all the way home. Tracks such as their debut 'Hollow Eyes' and more recently 'It's Real' have already being supported and championed by BBC Introducing and they have spent the summer making their debut at festivals such as Isle Of Wight, Standon Calling and others.

SUN SCREAM

Sun Scream are a psychedelic noise pop outfit from Bury St. Edmunds who have also sprung onto the scene this year. The deal in large atmospheric, layered anthems, to fuzzy rock filled riffs, with catchy melodies and intriguing lyrics. Their hometown gigs are already selling out and it's only a matter of time before word spreads via London and beyond. Their two debut tracks about to be unleashed are impressive to say the least and well worth checking out.

SLEEPING LIONS

We are always happy to take suggestions from the dancefloor of Welcome To The Monkey house and Sleeping Lions are one such band.

Much better than their own description of "good old indie rock from Essex/North London" they claim to be "smooth to the touch, hearty with a crunch". They are recording at the moment on 'The Shaky Leg Sessions' which they hope to be delivering to eager ears soon.
